LJRL president Scott McDonald said the season had been a good one for the Raiders. “All our minis performed well,” he said. “Leeton is well represented this year in the grand finals. We could have had nearly every age group playing finals.”
A post grand finals event will be held at the MIA Function Centre with all welcome.

Leeton lost just three games and the grand final will be tough as B&W have been the team to beat. However, Leeton beat them in a close first round of finals to get into the decider. Using bigger boys to run the ball, strong defensive work and a great halves pairing will make for a great game. Coach Andrew Pauls said line speed in defence will be crucial, especially on the edges as B&W have quick outside backs. Leeton has strike power around the ruck and out wide.
Leeton needs to dominate possession and build pressure in its own half. Players to watch: Benny Barnes, Taine Pauls, Carta Jackson

The boys have had a great season this year and should be very proud of themselves. They have shown dedication, motivation and determination. Their strength is in their ability to work well as a team and their efforts have paid off.
