On December 29 around 10.30am, police attended a home in the shire for another purpose.
While inside the home and speaking with the occupants, the officers noticed the barrel of a firearm.
They asked the individuals about this, who said the item was a "gel blaster" firearm, telling police they had a further two inside the house.
Gel blaster firearms are legal in other states in Australia, but are illegal in NSW.
With the consent of the owners, police seized three "gel blaster" firearms.
The occupants were spoken to in relation to the items and will be served with a court attendance notice.
